Prices were VERY reasonable. Food and service were great. Country ham was a special treat.

Food is great! Breakfast served all day! Very quick service, food prepared quickly and made to order. Great little diner spot, local feel and very friendly!

I just happened to come across this spot randomly, and I'm glad I did. If you want a good and simple southern breakfast, this is the spot for you. I got grits, eggs, liver mush, hashbrowns and a biscuit. The food is made fresh to order, so it comes out hot. I think the biscuit was the best part of the meal, though. It was soft and fluffy and delicious! The hashbrowns didn't have any seasoning on them, so I likely wouldn't revisit this dish, but with a little ketchup they were still good. The restaurant is super small, so you may end up having to take it to go, or having to eat with a stranger. Either way, you're gonna enjoy it. The service is super friendly and they try to get your food out to you fast. They have a lunch menu, and what looks like many different specials throughout the week, so I would definitely recommend giving this one a try!

Worth every penny. You will not find a better value anywhere in Charlotte. Breakfast for 3 was $36 and that included a $6 tip. The food is delicious. I just order omelets because what's better? You order at the counter and then seat yourself. Just don't forget to pay before you leave. The family that runs this place are super friendly. A couple of the homies are hilarious. Parking isn't specifically designed all that great but if that doesn't bother you then there's a ton of it lol. The dining room is small. If you have a large group they only have a handful of tables they can merge together. But this is my second option for breakfast in Charlotte. Budget super friendly...

I've eaten at Chuck's Grill twice, both times had a cheeseburger, fries w/drink combo and both time had fabulous service, for a very fair price, and both times the food was delicious! The fries have a little crunch and an excellent taste. I will definitely be eating there again plus shared with my colleagues how good this whole in the wall food is at a good price. In addition, the desserts are delicious!!

A Charlotte staple for many years, this is a local favorite for breakfast and lunch. I've visited many times over the years for breakfast which you can order up to closing at 2pm. I've tried to find salmon cakes in this city for breakfast and it's like a needle in a haystack, either it's some breaded patty or it's not prepared correctly but Chuck's clearly understands the assignment as they have been serving them up for years. My go to is the scrambled eggs, fried potatoes, salmon patties and toast with strawberry jelly.............superb.
